New gym!

So last week I decided to join Planet Fitness! I got rid of my Y membership in May because I like to workout outside in the summer months. Now that it is getting colder and darker, it was time to look into a gym. There was a special going on until Columbus Day so I jumped on it! I signed up for $1 start up fee, $29 annual fee and $10 a month. I thought it was the best deal for me. Seeing I will be leaving lovely Upstate NY next July, I thought I could use this until I leave.

So I went on a tour on Friday and they have tanning there, massage chairs, a stretching area, tons of treadmills and equipment, and a circuit area which I really liked when I worked out for field hockey during high school.

So yesterday I went after work and got my card, free t-shirt, pen and bumper sticker. I hopped on the treadmill and decided to just do a fast walk at an incline for 20 minutes. I definitly broke a sweat!! I get worried about running on treadmills because I do have chronic bursitis in my hip and it tends to flare up after a workout. Then I headed to the equipment to work on my legs, hips, and booty and then the arms. After I was done working out, I headed to the stretching area and did some crunches.

All in all it was a great experience, it is only 5 minutes from work and like 10 minutes from my apt! My arms are a little sore today but my hip hasnt had any pain. Glad I did all my stretches!

So today is payday!! Which is always nice! Happy Thursday...only 1 day left of the week!
