Mini Vaca in San Antonio

Saturday we celebrated the hubby's 24th bday by going out to a nice restaurant for dinner. I had the lobster and hubby had a steak. Then, because he is the sweetest guy, he went and saw Eat Pray Love because he knew how much I wanted to see it! It was incredible! Loved Julia Roberts in it!

Sunday, after a round of golf for the husband, we headed to San Antonio. We checked into our hotel and then went to Red Robin for dinner which is in the same shopping plaza as a home goods! I was quite excited to shop, our new home doesn't have much shopping options. I got the cutest white spoon rest that I had been looking for, only $4!

Monday, we woke up bright and early and headed 45 minutes north to a Prime Outlets!! And to our surprise a Tangers outlets was right next door!! We shopped for a couple hours. I didn't find as much as I hoped for but I was still happy with my purchases. I got three shirts, white tank, and jean skirt from the gap, a P rug for our entry way and a pj shirt from Nike! I also got a new pair of running sneaks for only $25! It was buy one get one half off! The hubby got four pairs of shorts and a golf shirt and sneaks. After shopping, the husband was pooped but I could have kept going. We stopped at a local air force base's bx to look around. I got a cute pair of new sunglasses seeing mine had broke! For dinner, we went to Spaghetti Warehouse which was close to our heart seeing their is one near our hometown in NY. I had sausage pomodoro which was delish and the hubby had chicken parm!

Tuesday, we headed to Six Flags Fiesta Texas! We rode the rollercoasters and the fun water log flume which was wonderful after waiting in line in the hot sun! There happened to be a nice outdoor shopping center near the park so we headed there and I got a cute t-shirt from Urban Outfitters! I love that store and they just opened up one near my hometown in NY, so jealous! After shopping we headed to Carabbas for dinner where I had chicken and spinach canneloni, not the best for this lactose intolerant!

Wednesday, we headed back home and I unpacked and did some laundry and the hubby went golfing!

It was a very nice getaway seeing we will be apart for the next month in two days! I now have to pack for NY where I will be for the next couple weeks and hubby has to pack for colorado where he will be in training! Hopefully I will be able to fit enough shirts and bottoms and shoes so that I dont have to check a bag lol!

  2. Glad you got to get away together before your time apart. If you are able to successfully pack for a couple of weeks in a carry on, you're my hero! Do share your packing tips.
