Yesterday I got a call from the Officer's Spouse Club president saying I got the position as thrift store manager! I was very excited and found out I start December 1. My hours are Wednesday and Friday 830-130 so not really stressful but I will be able to meet more spouses as well as contributed my experience in business and marketing to the store. All the money earned at the store goes toward funding scholarships and charities in the local town. I wont be making much, and its really not about that, its about meeting people and keeping myself occupied while the hubby is in pilot training and studying 12 hours a day! I start school back up at the end of January and this schedule will fit in well with my classes!
We got our Christmas Tree, some decorations, a topper, and a tree skirt at Home Depot this weekend! I am very excited to put it up and get in the holiday spirit!! Yesterday we went to the movies to see Unstoppable which was very good and quite suspenseful! I love when true stories are made into movies!
Today I am heading to the DMV office to get a new license with not only my married name on it but I will be getting a Texas license...saying goodbye to my new yorker status...hopefully I will get it back someday lol, I will always be a New Yorker through and through! But I think I am the only person in Texas with NY license plates hehe
Happy Monday!
Way to go girl! Congrats to you.
