Book Review!

I just finished an amazing book called The House on First Street by Julia Reed. 

The book tells the story of journalist Julia and her life in New Orleans and her first home, the house on 1st street! Only 4 weeks after she moved into her renovated home in the Garden District of New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina hit. The book talks about all the friendships and business that came together and survived the disastrous Hurricane Katrina! I really enjoyed reading this book from the details about Julia's house renovations to how the community of friends came together to help each other out, I felt like I got a real glimpse into the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the effect it had on New Orleans! Definitely recommend it!
