My experience with my first flu shot via nasal mist!

This year I decided to go get a flu shot. I had never gotten one before and I thought it would be a good idea with all the traveling we have coming up and moving in the next couple months (hopefully). Tuesday afternoon I got the nasal mist which pretty much felt like and tasted like nose spray. I was fine afterward and event that night. The next morning I woke up with terrible swollen glands and soar throat along with a stuffy nose and killer headache. I sipped on hot water and continued taking my mucinex and I got better as the day went on. The follow morning, I woke up again with terrible swollen glands but this time with a scratchy soar throat, stuffy nose and post nasal drip. The soar throat got better after sipping hot water but the stuffy nose remained. Yesterday, I didn't wake up with swollen glands but the stuff nose remained. Today, 4 days after the nasal mist I still have a stuffy nose. I did not enjoy these symptoms one bit! I haven't had the flu before (knock on wood) but I know that if I decide to get the flu shot next year, I will definitely ask for the shot instead of the mist because everyone I know who got the shot had no symptoms.

Just wanted to share my story in case anyone was thinking about getting the nasal mist flu shot!
