Last night I finished the book Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Johnathan Safran Foer. Last week I found out that this was a book, I saw the movie trailer and was interested in seeing the movie but then when I found out it was a book, I had to read it before I saw the movie!
This book was told through the eyes of a child dealing with the death of his father, who died in the twin towers on 9/11. He is kind of a quirky little kid and goes on an adventure trying to figure out the lock to a key he found in his dad's closet. The story of his grandparents, his father's parents, are also a large part in the book but Im not sure if it will be in the movie! The movie comes out December 25, Christmas day, and Im looking forward to seeing it!
Here is the trailer.

That sounds like a sad book, but a good one. Kudos to you for finishing the book before the movie!
ReplyDeleteYea, when I saw it was going to be a movie, I had to read the book first, so I picked it up and was enthralled by it! I closed that book feeling very full and satisfied with what I had read. Glad you liked it too -- I'm also eager to see how the grandparents story is involved in the movie. We'll see now, won't we?! :)
