TXSC Weekend! Day 3

The final day of the weekend was held at the Blanton Museum of Art! I would love to go back to Austin while we are living in Texas and check out the art museum as well as the Texas History Museum across the street and the Texas Capitol down the street! The hubby and I enjoy checking out fun historical museums (we went to Washington DC for 4 days after our wedding for a mini honeymoon!).

-What I learned from the four panels as well as the keynote and capstone speakers-
*Think local, go national-contribute to blogs, showcase artists, move from a blog focused on curating media to a blog of original content where you the blogger are the source.
*Amped up writing-Blogging is storytelling with a purpose. Have a reporter's mindset when creating and developing a post. Don't forget to structure every post.
*Blogging Lessons Learned-Time and schedule posts, switch to a .com url to appear more professional
*Keynote-Do not compare myself to others, stay true to my voice and don't let other blogs intimidate my voice or take away my joy!
*Capstone- Dream big, set goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them no matter the obstacle!

I am so happy that I decided to attend the Texas Style Council this year and had the opportunity to meet bloggers whose blogs I have been reading for a couple years as well as new bloggers whose blogs I get to discover and learn from and enjoy!

Some of the amazing business cards I got from fellow bloggers!

Fabulous business cards I got from business/shop owners:)
