6 years ago today my wonderful sister married her best friend and soul mate and I gained a brother! It was a beautiful August day and we danced the night away!
Their wedding day was also hubby and I's first date and asking him to be my date was the best decision of my life!
Despite such a wonderful celebration of love, today and tomorrow will be a hard day for my family and being 2,000 miles away is hard! My fun-loving and caring Aunt passed away this week and the services are today and tomorrow. I wish I could give everyone in my family a hug and kiss and be there with them during this hard time but I know they know I am there in spirit!
Its times like these where I wish we were only a car drive away instead of two plane rides away. We've been here in Texas two years and the distance doesn't get closer or easier but we make it work and make do with what we can do!
One day we will be close to home again, and I won't have to miss out on all the happy and sad times...
