Relay for life!-Celebrating more birthdays!

Today I attended by 8th Relay for Life! The first one I attended was back when I was a senior in high school. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 months earlier and had undergone a lumpectomy and radiation treatment and was doing very well!! It was an amazing experience to have the whole community together as well as family and friends walking and raising money for finding a cure!

Every year my mom walks in that survivor lap, my sis and I are there to support her and show how proud and happy we are that she beat this terrible disease! Although there were more teams this year, which means more people affected by cancer, and a couple loved ones lost their battle this year, the number of survivors have also increased!
For our wedding, the fiancee and I decided to donate to the American Cancer, American Heart, and Air Force Aid Society in lieu of traditional favors:)
