Weekend update and Kick booty in to gear!

Saturday: Found a new local breakfast place and had a delish breakfast taco, drove out to see the local lake (3miles from Mexican border), went to home depot and bought a beautiful martha stewart wall mirror, stopped at the dollar store to get some candy for the trick or treaters, then headed home. I read and finished Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks which was excellent! We went for a walk because it was gorgeous out and stayed in and ordered pizza and wings and vegged out ( minus the veggies)

Sunday: Went to church together which was nice because hubby usually golfs on saturday and sunday mornings, then headed to ihop where i had two fried eggs and a bagel, then to walmart to pick up some cute red chairs for our back patio seeing there was no patio furniture in the town! Then the rest of the day I cleaned and picked up around the house and go ready for the trick or treaters. We didn't dress up but we got lots of kiddies and ran out of a candy...which is a good thing! Then we watched a scary movie called The Crazies and realized that we both can't handle scary movies especially at night!

Today, November 1, was my first day off of school work and my first day of my get into shape workout! I was going to run outside but the 80 degree temps were a little overwhelming for my first run in a while so I headed to the gym and ran a mile on the indoor track which is 13 laps. It took me around ten minutes, then I lifted some weights and did some situps and then got back on the track to run 6 more laps. I also signed up for a 5k run in December! Now that I am signed up, I am committed to running and getting back into shape. I feel like I have been eating crappy and not really working out, like I go for an hour walk a day but it doesnt seem to be doing anything for my fitness. I am excited to get back into a running schedule and eating better! So glad there is no left over candy!

Wish me luck!
